But some customers also have the issue of needing coverings for doors which have glass segments. Even with temporary blinds in place, privacy can be limited if passers-by can see into your property via your door.

Stick on blinds for doors

The great thing about the temporary blinds from BlindsInABox is that they can also be used to cover doors. Because fixtures aren’t necessary, users can measure and stick their blind anywhere, as and when it is needed.

What’s more, the strong adhesive section of stick on blinds makes them suitable for a number of door types, including uPVC, wood and composite. Once the door blind is no longer needed, it can simply be removed with no lasting trace visible on the door.

Purchasing stick on door blinds

If stick on temporary door blinds sound like they could be the solution you’re after, then the next hurdle is knowing which size to get.

Due to the varying sizes, widths and styles of doors, the blinds for them often need to be custom-made. However, the versatility of the stick on blind from BlindsInABox means it they are suitable for any door.

BlindsInABox stick on blinds are available in two sizes:

  • 91cm wide x 180cm drop
  • 100 cm wide x 200cm drop

If you require a door blind size which is available, that’s great! But it’s worth noting that the pleats in the blind may affect its exact length.

Resizing your stick on blind

But what if your door doesn’t match either of the dimensions on offer? There are a number of simple ways to make a temporary blind which is the perfect fit for your door.

The door blind is too short

If the blind is too short to cover the glass panel in your door, you can stick one blind to the bottom of another, and cut away any excess length.

To do this, simply peel off the adhesive strip on one of the blinds and fix it to the bottom of the other one. Next, fit the extended blind into place on the door and use the provided clips to gather any excess or carefully remove this using scissors or a craft knife.

The door blind is too narrow

If the blind dimensions mean that it will be too narrow to cover your door, you can easily overlap two blinds side-by-side to create one wider blind.

To do this, measure the desired width and cut the blinds to this size. When fixing the blinds to your door, create a slight overlap between the two blinds to ensure there’s no gapping.

Adjusting your door blind

Once the stick on blind is fixed in place on your door, you can adjust it to the required height.

When you purchase any blind from BlindsInABox, you receive two complimentary clips which can be used to hold the blind at the desired level. For example, you can clip your blind during the day when you want to let more light in, and remove the clips when you want a little more privacy. Additional clips are also available to purchase if required.
